I survived, and now I really have taken my running to a different level. These days, instead of running without a care in the world, I've done more research to help prevent injuries (I fractured my pelvis two years ago) and I have finally found running as something fun I could share with a few of my friends. Back in my twenties, people actually thought I was crazy for wanting to run in a marathon.
This year, at forty, I finally did it! I ran my first half marathon after two years of healing and training my legs and core to be stronger. I didn't have any injuries, and I'm so grateful to the Lord for that! My training for a full marathon starts in September and once again I'll be running with my best friends who are willing to push themselves to the limit, too!
It feels awesome to dream BIG and see it actually happen!

I run like a girl,
TRY TO KEEP UP.
what do you do?
